More on day #1

Dakota: What are you trying to tell me? Go shopping?

Bans: Noemi gave herself her 1st shot at SeaTac and the next on the plane, mid-flight. No problem.

Let me back up a bit. We arrived at our hotel at about 7:30am. It is a large, beautiful hotel. Our room, 826, is lovely and we had fruit waiting for us. Noemi’s room, 803, is obviously the Queen’s headquarters. It is much larger, with a walk in closet and sitting area, but no complaints here. I have to admit I have been teasing her a lot about her oppulent digs. When we were brought up to our rooms Ken was going to tell Noemi how to call our room. She gave him the same “look” that I give him when he just needs to stop talking. She was tired, so were we, so we went our separate ways. . After literally “crashing”, at 10:30am our phone rings. Noemi is refreshed. So we shower, put on fresh clothes and go downstairs to the restaurant to eat lunch. That was a lot of work to understand the menu, ask questions and then order.

At 2:30 Mr. Sun picked us up. John, associate principal from TAS was with him to accmpany us on a guided tour of The National Palace Museum. There was a special exhibit rom China. This is the 1st time Taiwan and China have cooperated to trade museum pieces. An amazing tour. We got back to the hotel at 5pm and had a delicious dinner here at the hotel.

We are all tired ad so I asked Robin to move our 9am pick up to 10am.
